Overseas Market Expansion Strategy for the Environmental Protection Resource Engineering Industry

Absrtact
The New Southbound Policy constitutes the core of Taiwan's foreign economic and trade strategy, strategically responding to global shifts and regional integration trends in the Asia-Pacific region. Within this framework, Taiwan actively promotes exchanges and collaboration with New Southbound countries in the field of environmental protection. This year, through bilateral forums inviting New Southbound countries, Taiwan shared its experiences in green industries, expanded opportunities for technological and industrial collaboration, and collectively advanced environmental protection and sustainable development. The fruitful outcomes of this year's outbound visit to Thailand deepened collaboration between the two nations in environmental protection, circular economy, and smart manufacturing. Additionally, through three video conferences, Taiwan and Vietnam further enhanced exchanges in environmental industries, technology, and information, creating business opportunities and facilitating the export of technology and industries. In terms of New Southbound country markets, Taiwan closely monitors opportunities in environmental industries in countries such as Australia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, emphasizing collaboration with local governments, industries, and academia. Taiwan's environmental industry has diverse developments in soil and groundwater pollution remediation, resource recycling, and waste cleanup. Particularly noteworthy is the introduction of AquaRefining technology, offering an eco-friendly solution for battery recycling and new battery manufacturing. To boost the overseas export capability of Taiwan's environmental engineering industry, assistance is provided to the Ministry of Environmental Protection in planning activities such as bilateral meetings, dialogues with domestic environmental industries, and guidance and subsidy programs. Finally, through the establishment of a Google Site database for relevant personnel in Taiwan and New Southbound countries, long-term cooperation and exchange between environmental businesses and government departments are facilitated. In summary, the practical implementation of the New Southbound Policy has opened up numerous possibilities for Taiwan's development in New Southbound markets and has yielded positive outcomes in the field of environmental protection.
